* Wireless TTL flash trigger
* Support flash exposure compensation via camera
* Remote/wireless manual power adjustment
* High speed sync up to 1/8000s (HSS; with compatible flash such as the Canon EX II series)
Several major improvement/enhancement of Pixel King has been made over the original Pixel Knight:
* Flash control via the Flash Control Menu (FCM; first introduce by Canon on Canon 40D & adopted on all EOS camera release later than 40D). This offers a very convenient and interactive way of controlling the remote flash.
* Now able to do second curtain sync (the Canon ST-E2 will does not allow second curtain sync).
* Allows manual grouping & power adjustment.
* Improved range, now up to 100m.
* Allow user download the latest firmware & update via mini USB port.
* Uses easily available AA batteries, same as the flash/speedlight. No more CR2!
Like the Pixel Knight, it does not support the Canon wireless protocol (i.e. it can not work as ST-E2/580EXII as the master to trigger 430EX flash in remote mode), but instead it works by "fooling" the remote flash that it is mounted on the camera hot-shoe. Vice-versa, the camera will work as if there a TTL flash mounted on the hotshoe.
The body physical design is similar to the Pixel Bishop. It uses the 2.4 GHz frequency, and Pixel rate it as having a working range of up to 100 meters.
The Pixel King Transmitter provides 7 selectable channels and 3 different groups. For power, both the TX and RX use two AA-sized batteries. Both the TX and RX have an mini USB-socket to allow firmware updates, and also plug in external 5V power supply . Both the TX and RX have a hotshoe mount. The RX hot-shoe is for mounting remote flash/speedlight. However, the TX hot-shoe is NOT a TTL pass-through shoe, and can not be used to mount an additional flash/speedlight on top of it. Instead, Pixel has indicated that they plan introduce a optional control unit (tentatively named "N-ETTL") that can be mounted in the transmitter hot-shoe; likely to act as a Zone Controller.
* Support flash adjustment power via camera flash control menu (FCM; available in Canon EOS 450D, 500D, 550D, 600D, 40D, 50D, 60D, 5D, 5D Mark II, 7D, 1D Mark III, 1D Mark IV, 1Ds , 1Ds Mark II).
